Musala, 9 September 2026 — the highest point of the whole Balkan Peninsula. Instead of the standard walk-up I took the ridge over Malka Musala (Little Musala), a cool traverse on big blocky granite towers with the Rila lakes far below. Summit obelisk, a Bulgarian flag snapping in the wind, and views all the way to Pirin.
